Do you remember summer break when you were a kid? While I certainly qualified as a “geek” who liked to go to school, I also looked forward to and enjoyed summer break! I have fond memories of summer break. Having breakfast on the backyard patio. Spending entire days riding my bike. Earning some cash doing yard work and landscaping. Trips to see relatives. Reading books that I wanted to read.
Summer breaks were also a time to refresh and renew—a time to slow down and let God direct my heart back to His own.
It’s time for me to do that now. After more than 7 years of weekly postings (Wow!), I’ll be taking a summer break from blogging. I need to free up time as well as mental and emotional capacity for some refreshing and renewing projects.
I encourage you to find ways to refresh and renew this summer, too. I’ll see you back here this fall.
